Terrestris, LLC receives the 3rd US Army War College Contract for Museum support services 5-year award

Terrestris to support U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center (USAHEC)

Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, August 28, 2023 – Terrestris has been awarded a 5-year paper conservation and digitalization contract from the U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center (USAHEC). The digitization project is to scan all archival materials held by USAHEC. There are 4,182 collections occupying 24,000 linear feet. Terrestris Paper Conservation specialists will perform professional paper conservation treatments in support of the USAHEC digitization project. Terrestris will be create treatment plans for documents requiring stabilization and conservation prior to scanning, our team will be conducting treatments such as mending of tears, adhesion of detached pieces, flattening of rolled photographs, adhesive removal, de-acidification, encapsulation, and stabilization of scrapbooks, and producing final treatment reports for all completed treatments.
