U.S. Army Awards Terrestris Base Life Support Contract for National Training Center at Fort Irwin

December 8, 2025 – Fort Irwin, California

The U.S. Army has awarded Terrestris a comprehensive Base Life Support (BLS) contract to deliver and sustain critical field infrastructure and logistical services in support of the National Training Center. The award enables the Army to establish and operate fully functional training areas capable of supporting thousands of personnel in the high-desert environment.

Under the contract, Terrestris will provide a broad range of mission-essential capabilities, including transportation assets, material-handling equipment, field shower systems, fuel distribution support, mobile power generation, environmental control systems, and hardened structures configured for sleeping, operations, and administrative use. This includes buses, diesel fuel trucks, 36K and 10K forklifts, dump trucks, backhoes, reefer and support vehicles, shower trailers with generators and lighting, and facilities equipped with HVAC, flooring, electrical distribution, and backup power.

“Realistic training environments are foundational to Army readiness,” said Allen Price, Chief Operating Officer of Terrestris. “Supporting that realism requires a highly coordinated logistics and infrastructure effort, which we have invested in extensively. We are honored to partner with the U.S. Army to deliver the resilient, safe, and reliable support systems that enable units to train as they fight.”

Throughout the rotation, Terrestris will operate across multiple dispersed locations, providing 24/7 response capability for equipment maintenance, power generation, environmental support, and life-support services. All equipment will be delivered mission-ready, maintained to strict quality and safety standards, and supported by rapid response requirements, including four-hour corrective timelines where required. Power, HVAC, lighting, and generator packages will support both troop-living areas and command-and-control nodes.

The National Training Center provides one of the world’s most advanced and challenging training environments for U.S. and allied forces, requiring precise coordination of logistics, sustainment, and field infrastructure. This contract ensures the Army can replicate realistic operational conditions while maintaining the comfort, safety, and continuity necessary for sustained training operations.
