Alex Horti

CEO & Founder

Alex Horti is the CEO and Co-founder of Terrestris, LLC. He earned his B.S. in Homeland Security and his MBA from the University of Maryland. He is a service-disabled veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and 2007 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011. Alex is a government contracting professional, an active small business industry partner, and an accomplished entrepreneur with a successful career that spans more than 15 years. Alex has supported Government Contracts as an industry partner both domestically (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS) focusing on Program Management, Training, Operations, Human Resources, and Business Development. He excels at building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Lucas Berg

President & Co-founder

Terrestris President and Co-founder Lucas Berg is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CSP) with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Fort Hays State University. With two decades of experience in government contracting, Lucas specializes in Human Capital; Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance; Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC); and Program Management for both domestic (CONUS) and international (OCONUS) projects for the Federal Government. He is an established industry expert and serial entrepreneur adept at fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and implementing innovative solutions. Lucas is a published author, speaker, and trainer. He is a Charter member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals.

Jomon Skaria

Chief Financial Officer

Jomon Skaria serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Terrestris, LLC. He earned a B.S. in Accounting, a B.S. in Statistics, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting. He is an IRS Enrolled Agent. Jomon is an expert in DCAA compliance with over 28 years of experience in Finance and Accounting.

Sergio Venegas

Operations Manager

Sergio Venegas ensures efficiency and effectiveness through the management of operations and programs while providing strategic leadership.  As a native Spanish speaker and Latin America regional specialist, he plays a significant role in Terrestris’ OCONUS operations. Sergio is a recently retired US Army veteran with over 20 years of experience in operations, collaboration with governmental agencies, and working with multinational operations. Primarily serving within the Special Operations units as a U.S. Army Ranger and Special Forces Soldier (Green Beret), he deployed numerous times to support the Global War on Terror, specializing in counter-narcotics operations in Latin America. Sergio was also an instructor at the Sergeant Major Academy, teaching future army operations, doctrine, and strategy. Sergio’s formal education includes both a B.A. in Business Administration and a M.A. in Public Administration from the University of El Paso, Texas. He is also a Harvard University-trained negotiator.

Alyssa Everett

Growth Manager

Alyssa Everett is a dynamic professional who joined Terrestris in 2022 with a passion for driving growth and innovation. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from George Mason University and currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Maryland, Alyssa brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and creative problem-solving to the role of Growth Manager. As Growth Manager, Alyssa plays a pivotal role in steering the company towards its strategic objectives through astute business development strategies and proposal writing. With a keen eye for identifying opportunities and a strategic mindset, Alyssa leverages her expertise to propel the company’s growth trajectory. Through proactive engagement with clients and stakeholders, she cultivates relationships that foster long-term partnerships and drive revenue expansion.

Jasmine Abuziad

Proposal Team Lead

Jasmine Abuziad is a strategic writer and communications lead who helps forge Terrestris’ proposal pipeline and business development initiatives. With a focus on crafting, reviewing, and managing competitive bids, she plays a central role in translating technical strategies into compelling narratives. In addition to proposal development, she oversees the company website and press communications, helping to shape Terrestris’ public presence and storytelling. Jasmine holds a BFA in Creative Writing from George Mason University and a Master’s in English Literature from the University of Westminster in London, bringing a global perspective and strong editorial precision to her work. Her background in writing and cultural analysis informs a nuanced, strategic approach to both client communications and capture efforts.

Michelle Niland

Business Operations Analyst

Michelle Niland drives efficiency, productivity, and profitability in Terrestris’ day-to-day operations through strategic oversight and optimization. Her role encompasses operations management, resource allocation, and HR initiatives, including payroll administration and workforce analysis. With expertise in statistical analysis, data management, and interpretation, Michelle delivers data-driven insights that inform decision-making and enhance operational success. Before joining Terrestris, she worked in political analysis, where she refined her ability to dissect complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Michelle holds a B.S. in Statistics from Virginia Tech, providing a strong analytical foundation that supports her strategic approach to operational excellence.

Jesi Donovan

Human Resources Specialist

Jesi Donovan is at the forefront of Terrestris’ HR initiatives, taking charge of all HR responsibilities including HR compliance, workforce planning, and analysis, payroll management, new hire orientation, recruitment, staffing, maintaining up-to-date employee records, and fostering a healthy workplace environment. Prior to joining our team, Jesi served as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Talent Acquisition Concepts, Terrestris’ sister company, where she showcased her expertise in identifying and nurturing top talent. She has extensive business management and instructional design experience, having managed a chain of dry cleaning companies and taught middle school theater while obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Theater and a Master’s degree in Education and Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum Development.

Siana Rodriguez

Contracts Analyst

Siana Rodriguez oversees and streamlines Terrestris’ contract and subcontract administration, bringing precision and efficiency to every aspect of the process. A dedicated and analytical professional, Siana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Temple University, equipping her with a strong foundation in research, critical thinking, and policy analysis. With a keen eye for detail and a structured approach, Siana expertly reviews, drafts, and analyzes contractual agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Her ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory language, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, allows her to navigate contract administration with confidence and clarity. Siana is committed to mitigating risks, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting organizational objectives through meticulous document review and process optimization.

Jose Espada

Program Manager

Jose Espada is Terrestris’ Program Manager for USSOUTHCOM, USASOC, SOCOM, and other related operations, a dedicated U.S. Army veteran with over 15 years of experience. Jose possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA and has over 13 years of experience in military education environments, logistics management, quality control, program analysis, and contract administration. He is an adaptive program/project manager with a proven track record of planning, executing, and delivering results in complex and dynamic environments. 

Ray Odoom

Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

Ray Odoom serves as the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) at Terrestris. He brings a well-rounded approach to the ISSE role with extensive experience in business process, ISO quality compliance, information technology, and complex transformation projects. With over a decade of experience in Information Technology, Ray has designed and supported IT infrastructures for organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Known as an IT “jack of all trades,” he holds certifications in CCNA, Security+, AWS, and Kubernetes, and is also a proficient Python programmer. He earned a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy with a minor in Economics. Ray set up Terrestris’ IT infrastructure during its most critical transition period when the company lacked IT and security infrastructure after winning its first large prime contract in 2021.

Joe Estevez

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Joe Estevez serves as Terrestris’ Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist, leading recruiting efforts across corporate positions, proposals, active contract vacancies, and surge support requirements. Mr. Estevez retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant after 18 years of distinguished service, including multiple combat deployments to Iraq. He is a two-time Purple Heart recipient and has received numerous high-level personal and unit commendations and citations. Over the course of his career, he held several leadership roles within Marine Corps Recruiting Command, serving for 11 years as a Career Recruiter. His final assignment was as a Recruiter Instructor for the U.S. Marine Corps Eastern Recruiting Region. Following his military retirement, Mr. Estevez continued his service to the nation as a civil servant with the Social Security Administration in an HR management role, and later at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Cleveland, Ohio. Most recently, before joining Terrestris, LLC he served as Recruiting Manager for the Warrior-Scholar Project, where he focused on supporting veteran transitions into higher education.
