Terrestris Awarded U.S. Naval Community College Adjunct Faculty Support Services Contract
August 25, 2026 – Woodbridge, VA
Terrestris, LLC is proud to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to provide Adjunct Faculty Support Services to the United States Naval Community College (USNCC).
The contract, awarded through Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, provides Terrestris the opportunity to support USNCC instructional requirements across multiple academic terms. USNCC provides naval-relevant education designed to strengthen the warfighting advantage and operational readiness of the naval force. Its programs serve enlisted Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, giving service members access to education that supports both their professional development and the needs of the Naval Services.
Under the contract, Terrestris will provide qualified adjunct faculty to teach core Naval Studies courses, as well as general education courses as required. The Naval Studies curriculum includes Naval Ethics and Leadership, Modern Naval History, Naval Force Design, U.S. National Defense Establishment and Civil-Military Organization, and Introduction to Geopolitics. The contract also provides for instructional support in general education areas including English, mathematics, and science.
Courses are delivered virtually, primarily in an asynchronous format, allowing USNCC to provide education to a globally distributed military student population. Terrestris faculty will provide instruction, engage with and support students, evaluate assignments and examinations, track student progress, provide feedback, and help ensure students receive a high-quality academic experience. “This award is exciting for Terrestris because the impact goes well beyond the contract itself,” said Allen Price, Chief Operating Officer of Terrestris. “We have an opportunity to put highly qualified instructors in the classroom with enlisted Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen and directly support their education and professional development. These are the men and women carrying out the mission every day, and we are proud to have a role in helping prepare them for what comes next in their careers and in the Naval Services.”
“This is also an important contract for where Terrestris is going as a company,” Price added. “We support our customers in a lot of different ways, from operations and logistics to technical and professional services. This award expands that capability into higher education and instructional support. More importantly, it gives us another way to support readiness by investing directly in the people who make the mission happen.”
USNCC places a strong emphasis on the qualifications and experience of its faculty. Naval Studies instructors are expected to bring relevant academic credentials along with experience in areas such as national security, military service, government, military education, and collegiate teaching.
